Description: IBM P275 21" PC CRT monitor This listing is for a 2001 IBM P275 PC CRT monitor. This rare CRT is coveted for being a stylish rebadge of the Sony GDM-G520, one of the finest PC monitors ever produced. With a fine 0.24mm aperture grill dot pitch and an incredible default maximum resolution of 2048x1536 at 80Hz, this monitor produces extremely sharp, clear, and vivid pictures unlike any other monitor. Turning the resolution down, you can achieve up a 170Hz refresh rate for extremely smooth and responsive video & game play. The monitor is also known to be overclockable with even greater resolutions and refresh rates achievable. The attractive IBM design is just the cherry on top, ready to look great on any modern computer desk. The monitor features standard VGA input along with an additional DVI-A(nalog) port with a switch on the front to select between the two inputs. The CRT TURNS ON AND PRODUCES GREAT PICTURE BUT NEEDS TO BE ADJUSTED WITH WINDAS. This CRT turns on with a bright, clear picture, but like ALL of these monitors, a program is necessary to reduce the G2 voltage. Otherwise, the image is overly bright and the lifetime of the monitor is heavily reduced. If you purchase this monitor, you will need to research & use WinDAS (as I do not know how). Furthermore, the geometry is excellent with some very slight error at the top of the screen. No effort was made was correct it so it may simply be fixable in the menu system or it may be indicative of capacitors that need replacement. Finally, while the image is now bright, stable, and without any issues, the first time I turned the monitor on in years, the "No input" screen had some weird periodic glitches where the GUI would disappear on some lines and then immediately reappear. After restarting the monitor with a source connected, the issue went away even after disconnecting the source. No snapping/clicking/geometry glitches were noted so it didn't appear to be a flyback issue. Maybe it's gone forever or maybe it'll reappear in the future; I don't know. The monitor is in GREAT CONDITION. The monitor is extremely presentable with only the finest surface scratches all over. There is also some missing silver paint on the front IBM logo. In addition, part of the front input switch is broken so your nail is needed to switch between the DVI & VGA inputs. Finally, the base has a large crack between the front and back. It still works fine, but it should be reinforced or handled with care to prevent damage. The glass is in great condition without noticeable scratches. This monitor is very large (19 7/8" x 20 1/8" x 19 5/8") and quite heavy (69 lbs) so while I can help carry the unit to your car, be prepared to work with it from there. SHIPPING NOTE: NO SHIPPING!
