Description: Imperial German, WW1, Extremely Rare, Minty Naval Land Pilots Badge, with Medals & Boxed in Original Hugo Schaper Case. The Naval Land Airplanes mostly operated from Marine Jastas ( 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘀 ) in Flanders with the rest operating from Seaplane Squadrons on the Coast. This was not a large part of Kaiserliche Marine’s Avaition contribution to the Great War. The German Navy had it’s own Pilot’s Badges for Sea and Land Aircraft. I currently have several Sea Pilot’s Badges ( some engraved ) listed separately. This extremely rare badge complete with a 3 piece medal bar consisting with a magnetic Iron Cross Class 2 with a maker’s mark, a Hindenburg Cross and a Bavarian Medal of Merit. There is also a 6 piece miniature Tuxedo medal grouping. The Naval Officer’s Visor Cap is NOT INCLUDED. Hugo Schaper was a Berlin Jeweler who specialized in making Pilot Badges and other awards during the Great War through WW2. I have since found 3 Mint Naval Sea Plane Badges, not engraved listed separately. Pilot badges for the Kaiserliche Marine are considerably rarer than Imperial Army Pilot Badges. There were only 2 Jastas in Marine Feldgruppe Flandern. Check out my other listings for military items mostly from 1837-1919. Multiple purchases can be combined for postal savings. The
