Use the tank with 30 gallons of water as an example(you can scale the amount of usage). For new tank when you do the setup: 1. During the initial 2 weeks, you don't need to turn on the light. Let microorganisms and nitrifying bacteria grow. 2. Now from the third week, you can use algae booster. Use 1 gram of algae booster. Adding water to the container and then pour the algae booster into the container, then pour it into the tank. Turn on the light for 24 hours and turn on the air pump. For matural tank: 1.
