Description: This auction is for a Japanese Furoshiki, which is a wrapping cloth. These pieces of silk crepe fabric have traditionally been used for centuries to carry belongings or to wrap a gift. This piece measures 26" by 28" and features a historical scene of people and "Kagos" or carriages which were used by the warrior class and nobility during the 1600's through the 1800's. Could be used in many ways, including framing it. I have a few more Furoshikis in separate auctions. This Japanese furoshiki wrapping/carrying cloth/fabric is in wonderful vintage condition - hard to find many flaws - and would make a great addition to your growing collection.
