Description: Up for bid is a large and rich Calcite from the Little 38 Mine, near Terlingua Texas. It fluoresces Blue under Short-Wave (First picture), Pink under Long-Wave (Second picture) and has a very long lasting phosphorescence. Third picture is under white light. Next three pictures are the back of the specimen in the same order. Large and rich specimens like this are very hard to find these days! The Little 38 Mine was closed, and the dump covered over, about 20 years ago. The only way to get this material is out of old collections, and few collectors want to let go of their biggest and best.
