(Jim Reeves) and songwriter "Jim Carroll 3345 Carter, Butte, Montana" who "sells, assigns, transfers and delivers to the Publisher, its successors and assigns, a certain heretofore unpublished original musical composition, written and/or composed by the above named writer(s), now entitled DIG YOUR TATERS including the title, words and music, and all copyrights thereof…." for royalties from copies sold and 50% of net earnings from the sale of recordings. From 1955 through 1969, "Gentleman" Jim Reeves (1923-1964) was consistently in the country and pop charts, which is all the more remarkable because Reeves was killed when his private plane crashed outside Nashville in 1964. His pop singles, including "Four Walls" (1957) and "He'll Have to Go" (1959), defined both Reeves' style and an entire era of country music. Jim Carroll was a songwriter who wrote most of Jim Reeves' hit songs, including "Stand at Your Window", "Little Ole Dime" and "Uno Ino". He also wrote and arranged music for Harvey Mandel and Bonnie Raitt. Three items.
