Description: 5 1/2”x8 1/2” junk journal with faux leather, gold embossed cover of Dr Zhivago by Boris Pasternak. Echoing the major themes of the book, I have used images of Russia before the revolution as well as images from the 1965 film Dr. Zhivago. It’s difficult and costly to obtain actual pre-revolution ephemera, so I have reproduced much of the enclosed goodies. However, my father made a diplomatic trip to the USSR in the 1970s and so I have included two pieces of actual Soviet era ephemera in this journal. The journal contains three signatures for a total of 144 pages with pockets, envelopes, tuck spots and even miniature faux KGB dossiers on the three main characters in the book: Yuri Zhivago, Tonia Gromenko, and Lara Antipov.
