There is a security screw behind the Jura logo in the back. Turn the logo to counter-clockwise release it and you will find the screw. Remove the screw and then push the gray plate upwards to release the locking mechanism in the back. Likewise, there's another oval head screw in the front that will be visible when you pull out the tray.
