Aside from the former presidents portrait, the front side of this note also contains the Coat of Arms of Kenya, Mount Kenya, and a lion head. The backside of the note features a different view of Mount Kenya, coffee berries, and a statue of a seated Kenyatta with the Kenyatta International Conference Center in Nairobi in the background. The note has a windowed security thread with demetalized CBK 100, an elephant registration device, a watermark of a lion head with electrotype 100, and Cornerstones.
