Keystone Stereoview Palace of Versailles: Treaty Signed From Rare 1200 Set #421

Description: This is an excellent Stereo card of the Palace of Versailles in France where the Peace Treaty (Treaty of Versailles) was signed ending World War One on June 28, 1919. It is from a Keystone “Tour of the World” 1200 card set from the 1930's. The card is titled "Where the Peace Treaty was Signed, Palace of Versailles, France." and is numbered 421 with a Keystone negative number of 18777. This card was included in the Rare 1200 card set, but not the more common 600, 300, or 100 card sets so it is much harder to find than the more common cards that were included in these smaller sets. This card is in excellent to near mint condition and measures 3 1/2" by 7”. The back of the card is printed with information about the subject. Please note that due to the flash used when I photographed these cards, the printed title at the bottom looks a little washed out in some pictures and a few have a little glare. The Stereoviews are fine with the title just as dark and clear as the rest of the printing on the card. I will be listing more Stereoviews on a regular basis, so check back for more views. Don’t miss out! Stereoviews or stereo cards have two nearly identical images mounted side by side. When looked at through a stereo viewer they give a three-dimensional image. Most popular from 1854 to 1938, they were produced in vast quantities, and many are of historical interest. They usually measure about 3 ½” by 7”.
