This is a PJ bass model from the former X Japan member, Taiji Sawada, weighing 3.6kg. It is a less common model compared to other Killer models like Criminal and Rancor. There is limited information online, but the original price was around 120,000 yen, and it seems to be domestically made. There are minor dents and scratches within the realm of personal use, but it has only been used at home. As of the end of April in Reiwa 6 (2024), the sound output is good. While there are no major scratches, it is not in mint condition, so please refer to the photos for consideration. The stand and tester in the photos are personal items and not included. Subjectively, the fret wear is around 70%, and I don't believe it causes any issues. Please refer to the photos for the neck condition. It was slightly adjusted as it had a slight forward bow before. The pickups have been replaced with Seymour Duncan SPB-3 and JPB-3, similar to the signature model, producing a powerful sound. I don't believe there are any scratching or noise issues. The original pickups can be included and reinstalled. There are four spare screws for the front, but none for the rear. When changing screws, even if the length is the same, the pitch may differ depending on the screw or manufacturer, so it's best to use the current screws. The original pickups are Duncan 3, and the pole pieces are about the same size, but there is a noticeable difference in sound. Subjectively, the Duncan 3 is slightly milder. While it may resemble the budget version Rancor in appearance, the Maris model feels better in terms of touch and construction. Subjectively, it feels closer to the commercial grade of Criminal in terms of build quality and finish, with the presence or absence of inlays being the main difference.
