Description: Klipsch Cornwall's in Ebony & Ivory veneer in excellent working order. These are the finest speakers I've had the pleasure of owning in my 10+ years since I began my audiophile journey. I've paired them with many solid state and tube front ends and in every single instance, the Cornwall's have not failed to produce outstanding stereo sound. In particular, these speakers have reinforced in my mind, the concept of using efficient speakers to bring out the low-level music information that can often be lost in inefficient speakers. The Cornwall's will bring out the notes in recordings that you may not have known were there. I can't say enough of how enjoyable these speakers have been for me. I purchased these from a craftsman-carpenter who painstakingly refinished the speaker cabinets. To begin, he replaced the old crossover capacitors with new ones. The enclosures were sprayed in black lacquer. The cabinets were then re-veneered in a beautiful ebony and ivory and were finished off with multiple coats of high-quality lacquer which makes them extremely resistant to scratches and chipping. The grilles were also replaced with new Klipsch #7, black cloth grilles and new Klipsch bronze badges. Satin nickel legs were added giving the speakers a very classy look.
