Description: Kramer Banana Headstock Logo Vintage Hardshell Case - For Kramer Baretta guitars and other High End Kramer models. Very Rare North American made Tolex-over-Wood frame case for Kramer Guitars - mid-1980’s production. These cases were among the first production cases made after Kramer moved away from the “Tuning Fork” Headstock Logo on their original Hardshell cases. These cases came out in late ‘83/early ‘84, and were designed for their higher end guitars like the new Baretta that was being released at that time. They were so new, they did not have one ready for the photo shoots with Eddie Van Halen promoting the new Baretta model. Several of the Ads from that ‘83 era show the “Tuning Fork” Headstock Logo on the case behind Eddie, as he is holding their new Banana Headstock Baretta. This case is in Good Condition. It presents well, and will protect your classic Kramer Guitar in a quality, period-correct case. There is oxidation and tarnish on the hardware, but it functions securely, as designed. There have been a couple of small hardware repairs made through the years, and the Tolex has some minor blemishes, repaired tears, rubs, etc. The Interior is odor-free, and in good condition. The Interior pile fabric shows some signs of wear. The accessory lid works well. The neck support is fully functional, but it could benefit from some support work, as 40 years of use has left it a bit loose. The Gold Banana Headstock Logo is in very good condition, and has not been worn or damaged through the years. The case has not been abused, but it has been used and is therefore not “like new”.
