Description: We are pleased to present an original Dean Ellis painting from the 1978 Ballantine version of the Lester del Rey novel "Attack from Atlantis". This is a pretty sizable painting. I am unsure of the medium -- gouache? The visible art window is 12.5" x 20.5" inside a 18.5" x 27.25" metal frame. There is a retail sticker on back from The Ainsworth Gallery in Boston. I opened up the frame to clean the glass and inspect everything. The painting appears in excellent condition but there is a small 3/8" spot of toning in the bubble trail of the submarine. Overall, very nice. The recent Ellis painting that sold for $1281 on eBay only measured 9" x 15" -- this one has it beat! Please see pics. SEE PICTURE!
