Description: Up for sale is a vintage hand carved Guro African bird mask. This large mask measures 29" tall and has a large bird perched on top and another bird head upside down on the chin. The detailed carved face features hair and diamond shaped markings on the cheeks and forehead. The bird head at the bottom has a red crest and yellow beak with protruding red and green eyes. the perched bird at the top is 10 1/2" tall. The mask has holes around the border for lacing. Age is unknown but the beauty is obvious.
