After his death in 1910, the collection was donated to local institutions where it has sat for the last 100+ years. The collection covers many styles of works over numerous centuries so be sure to check back regularly for new listings. This listing is for a large mezzotint engraving by by Valentine Green published in 1782. It is titled “Mrs. Fordyce at the grave of Fingal”, and was done after a painting by Angelica Kauffman. It is trimmed at the impression line and the sheet measures 21.8” x 16.7”. There is light wear and light spotting as can be seen in the photos . Provenance: The Winfield Robbins Collection
