Description: Just under 9 inches. Solid and heavy with beautiful iridescence. Natural Unpolished. Simply cleaned. I have many that I will be listing. This Shell was found buried in my yard. It was a common practice in the Mid 1900's to use the shells as landfill. They were unwanted after the meat was extracted. Morro Bay, California was a major Abalone fishery in the early 1900's until they were fished out. The shells are not deteriorated after all the years of being buried. In fact they are quite fresh and solid as opposed to ones that are sometimes found sitting in the elements for years.
