A first edition of Australian poet Vincent Buckley's poetry volume, Late Winter Child, published by Irish poetry publisher Dolmen Press while Buckley was living in Ireland. Very good condition with only light toning around the spine. Dolmen Press was founded in Dublin in 1951 by Liam and Josephine Miller (née Browne) and operated until Liam's death in 1987. An architect by training, Liam Miller was the book designer for many of Dolmen's publications, basing his designs after the look of modern (i.e., post Vatican II) Catholic missals, or mass books. The publisher's archive of the Dolmen Press is at the Special Collections and Archives at Wake Forest University and the Special Collections at the University of Victoria.
