The book itself is 20 pages packed with photographs of tennis players both posing and in action. The players photographed include Budge Patty, Vic Seixas, Lew Head, Maureen Connolly, Angela Mortimer, Jaroslav Drobny, Tim Trabert, Angela Buxton, Ken Rosewall and many more. The book has been autographed by 8 people. I have been able to identify 6 of them, and have found details of their careers in various places on the internet ... Inge Vogler Born 1923 in Germany, died 6 January 1974 She played at Wimbledon 1954, 1957, 1958 German Champion in doubles 1953+54; retired 1961 (as Vogler *) Winner: 1954 Dortmund, Istanbul, 1956 Ceylon Championships Heather BrewerBorn in Lancashire, Brewer-Segal grew up on the island of Bermuda. She attended Rollins College in Florida, where she played varsity tennis, before competing on the international circuit through the 1950s and 1960s.Brewer-Segal, a left-handed player, made the singles semi-finals at the French Championships in both 1955 and 1958, while her best Wimbledon performance was a doubles semi-final appearance in 1954. She twice won the singles title at the South African Championships and was runner-up once. In 1957 she also won the Swiss International Championships at Gstaad. In 1958 she won the Italian Riviera Championships in Sanremo on clay against Mexico's Rosie Reyes. Gordon ForbesGordon Forbes (21 February 1934 – 9 December 2020) was a South African professional tennis player and author. Forbes won the singles title of the South African Championships in 1959 and 1961 and was runner-up in 1955, 1962, 1963 and 1964. He won the Tuscaloosa Grass Court Invitational in 1962, defeating Rod Laver in the final. During the 1950s and 1960s, he was the doubles partner of countryman Abe Segal. They were considered one of the best doubles teams in the world. Gardnar MulloyGardnar Putnam "Gar" Mulloy (November 22, 1913 – November 14, 2016) was a U.S. No. 1 tennis player primarily known for playing in doubles matches with partner Billy Talbert. He was born in Washington, D.C., and turned 100 in November 2013. During his career he won five Grand Slam doubles tournaments and was a member of the winning Davis Cup team on three occasions. There are 2 other autographs that I have been unable to identify. One is certainly "Barbara ....." and the other appears like "Alan ....." but I cannot identify them. The book is in good condition with some signs of handling and age. A little grubby in places on the cover. The original staples are excellent. 8.5 inches by 5 inches.
