Scepan Mali, covek nepoznatog porekla, vladao je Crnom Gorom u periodu od 1767. do 1773. godine, predstavljajuci se kao ruski car Petar III Romanov, koga je zapravo 1762. u dvorskoj zaveri ubila njegova supruga, carica Katarina Velika. U delu je prikazana pometnja koju je dolazak i sama pojava Scepana Malog izazvala kod turskih i ruskih vlasti, ali i odnos naroda i crnogorskih velikasa prema ovom laznom caru. Author Biography Petar II Petrovic Njegos (1813 - 1851) bio je istaknuti pesnik, duhovni i svetovni vladar Crne Gore. Skolovao se u Cetinskom manastiru kod strica, vladike Petra I, koji ga je 1827. proglasio za svog naslednika. Zamonasio se posle striceve smrti, 1831. godine, i primio upravu nad Crnom Gorom.
