Description: The mighty Led Zeppelin came roaring out of the UK, FIFTY FIVE years ago, with their self-titled debut album, in 1969. From that moment, the band never looked back! The guitarist Jimmy Page came from the band The Yardbirds, and even called Zeppelin the New Yardbirds in the very beginning. The band is a titan in the rock world, and a legend in rock's history. They've also sold MILLIONS of albums through the years! In 1976, Led Zeppelin released their seventh studio album, calling it 'Presence'. You know, it's the album with 'The Object' in the photos on the front and back cover, and inside the gatefold jacket. No one knows what it is, really. And the band never explained what it is, either! It's just a strange looking black object, placed in the middle of all of the seemingly normal looking photos... Today we look back at Zeppelin music with a bundle of Led Zeppelin vintage vinyl records, with extras! First up is 'Presence', and a first edition copy of the vinyl record. The jacket looks great except for one section of the spine, above the name. It must have gotten wet, and has frayed really badly. A good copy to be framed, as you wouldn't see the damage if it's in a frame. The vinyl itself looks really good, with only a couple of very light surface marks on it. Nothing bad, and hardly noticeable. The inside of the gatefold looks really good, and the back also looks really good. That frayed section is the only major flaw on this copy! (See the pic of that.) In 1988, singer Robert Plant released an album titled 'Now and Zen'. At this point, he seemed to embrace his Zeppelin past (which he had shunned before this). He even has Jimmy Page playing a guitar solo on a couple of songs on this LP! The track "Tall Cool One" samples guitar riffs from four of five Zeppelin songs, and has Page playing on it, as well. And not just on the sampled riffs! A special 12" single for the track was released, with the extended version of that fun Zeppelin 80s update, (on a Robert Plant song), and the 'Astral Mix' of the first single from the album released, a song called "Heaven Knows". That 12" is here, and in great condition! The vinyl looks new, and is still shiny and clean. The jacket looks awesome, as well. There's a little shelf-wear on it, but nothing bad. Cut-out notch near the barcode. A great Robert Plant 12" single from the 80s! Next, you'll get the July 2014 issue of 'Guitar World' magazine, with Page on the cover, which came out TEN years ago. This is really interesting, and even comes with Zeppelin guitar music. Also, they add a really cool article about one of the greatest guitarists of the last almost sixty years! This one has been read and passed around through the years, and is showing signs of wear. Nothing too bad, and everything seems to be intact. No pages torn or missing, or dog-eared or handwritten on. A great Jimmy Page collectible! We'll end with a couple of CDs. First up is the 1998 release from Plant and Page (they left out John Paul Jones), titled 'Walking in Clarksdale'. This followed up the 'No Quarter' live album of Zeppelin classics (and three new tracks), that were done in a different style. 'Clarksdale' is all new studio tracks, but with only Plant and Page, who also produced (and again no John Paul Jones). The album was recorded and mixed by Steve Albini, who has worked with cutting edge alternative bands like Nirvana, The Pixies, and PJ Harvey. The disc itself looks great, and has only a few very, very light surface marks on it. Nothing bad, or that will affect play. Case looks new. And the last piece in this Zeppelin bundle of coolness is a remix CD. Vintage Zeppelin classic hits, with metal singers, and combining them with alternative/industrial/goth bands. Let that sink in for a sec...and as with most tribute albums, some songs are great, some are terrible, and a few others are somewhere in between. Titled 'A Tribute to Led Zeppelin: The Song Remains Remixed'. See pics for tracklisting, and who is on here. The disc itself has only a few very light surface marks on it. Nothing bad, or that will affect play. Case looks new. An interesting way to end this listing, wouldn't you say? Lol Make this Zeppelin stash your own.
