Leon Russell's profile has recently been raised as he was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame and he enjoyed equal billing with Elton John on the pair's 2010 album "The Union". Elton and Leon subsequently performed live together to great acclaim. The first nine tracks were recorded at Tokyo's Budokan Hall in November 1973. These were previously released on a Japanese-only LP and have never before been released on CD.
