Lionel 6-14191/ MTW IMPROVED Command Base Cable, 3 Ft. NEW

Description: Up for sale is a Brand-New Lionel type Command Base Cable, (3) Three foot long, by MODELMAIN TRAIN WORKS. This improved 6-14191/MTW Cable is used to connect a CAB-1 or CAB-2 Wireless Receiver to a TPC-300 or TPC-400, (Track Power Controller), used to raise and lower your track voltage. This is an improved version, black heavy duty shielded 2 conductor data cable with a grey DB-9 connector on one end and Red/ Green) tinned leads on the other end. This is a re- engineered, shielded (to keep out interfering signal "noise"), cable that is reinforced with heat shrink on both ends for added durability and is 4 foot long. For clarification, the cable I sell has the GREEN wire going to pin 5, the RED wire goes to pin 2. The Red is the data, and the Green is common.Many dealers report that they are out of stock on these cables!Modelmain Train Works comes to your rescue, all of my cable assemblies are fully in stock and ready to go.Please note: these DB-9 cable ends is the same type that Lionel uses. The back shell screws only come in one length. On the CAB-1 Base the cable just plugs in and should be a snug fit so the cable does not fall out, the screws will not be long enough to screw into the CAB-1 base, because there is no screw extensions on the female base part, they were made without them.... However, Radio Shack sells DB-9 Male to Male Gender Changers (part # 26-231), that come with the screw extensions to secure the DB-9 Plugs. There are also other suppliers like MCM, AMAZON, and EBAY that sell these as well. On the CAB-2 Base, Lionel uses a DB-9 female connector with screw extensions, so you can secure the DB-9 plugs with the back shell screws. I fully test, inspect for Quality, and Workmanship every thing I sell and market. Nothing leaves my facility unless it's right. I believe, due to my extensive MILITARY background, "that's the right thing to do". FYI, interfering data noise and static can make your expensive LCS, Legacy, and TMCC Locomotives, and remote accessories loose their "memory" and have to be fully reset to restore full functionality.Here at Modelmain Train Works, we come to the rescue and are the sole source for this shielded cable for now.Here's a few comments about my Command Base Cables, that say it all:Improved Cable 6-14191 is well done.
