Description: For sale are new production firing pins for the Llama .22LR semi-auto pistol. There are 3 different styles for sale but this auction is for one (1) firing pin. Llama changed their firing pins over the years so there are many variations. These 3 styles should cover most of the different styles out there and if you have one that takes a slightly different style, one of these pins should be able to be modified to fit. If you purchase one of these firing pins you will need to specify which pin you want.,The earliest models named "Especial" take the first series. It has a curved cutout for the retaining pin and has a flat, beveled nose. This firing pin is distinct and it is obvious which one you need. These were produced until the early 70s.The second firing pin was made after the Especial models were discontinued. These are known as the XV model but the slide is usually marked with just .22LR with no model number. The head is larger, like the original, but the tip is no longed flat but is now round. Some models have the same head as #2 but have the flat, beveled tip. The first Especial model can be used with some modifications for the flat instead of curved retaining pin cutout.The third and last design has a smaller head than the first two. These were used in the later models starting in the 80s up until they stopped producing them in the late 90s. If your current firing pin has the smaller head then only this model will work.The tip of the firing pin was changed from a prong to the angled tip to help reduce or eliminate the common light strikes that the Llama .22LR pistols had. The retaining pin cutout was also modified to help with light strikes as well. Feedback has shown that light strikes are all but eliminated with this design. If you get light strikes, non-firing rounds then you may consider trying one of these firing pins. The short, angled tip gives very positive strikes which crushes the rim well enough for ignition. This was not always the case with the prong-shaped tip Llama used.You should have a qualified gunsmith fit this part to ensure safe operation. This part may need some minor gunsmithing to ensure safe operation. This part should "drop in" but sometimes Llama's specifications were "iffy" and a small variance could be present.
