Bound in the publisher's hardcover blue boards, titled in gilt to the spine. Spine ends and corners bumped. Previous owner's details to the front endpaper, light age toning and a slight musty smell, but generally clean and tight internally. Jacket price clipped and protected, some chipping to the edges, as shown. An early title by the author best-known for his five "Prydain" novels, a series based loosely on the Welsh Mabinogion tales. This is a time travel tale featuring Gareth the cat and his human friend Jason, displaying Alexander's fondness for cats, his strong imaginative bent and witty, self-deprecating sense of humour.
