Description: Here we have a lot of four scarce, very-vintage, nearly antique, wide-rimmed soup plates from Wedgwood (Etruria, England) in excellent condition. The red, black and ivory Sunbirds pattern was designed by Sir Charles Holmes (1868-1936) the illustrious museum director, artist, and founder of Studio magazine. We have several listings for the soup bowls, separated by their condition, and this is the one in the best condition of the three being offered. All of the soup bowls, regardless of their condition, are being sold in sets of four. We have more pieces in this pattern available in our store, as shown in the last photo, including two covered bowls, a mustard pot with underplate, a dinnerware set, platters, and additional soup bowls, salad/dessert plates, and dinner plates, and we're always happy to combine shipping at actual cost. If the eBay checkout fails to properly combine your orders, we will issue a refund for the difference between what you paid to ship items separately and the actual cost of the combined shipping, on the day that we ship your package. (We don't find out the actual cost of combined shipping until we purchase the shipping label.) Maker/Marks: Wedgwood/please see photos Vintage: 1931 Condition: Our photographs reveal the condition best -- please enlarge and zoom in on them, and examine them carefully. We often add graphics such as arrows, circles, and text boxes to our photos to point out things of interest that might be hard to see, such as a price tag or maker's mark, as well as to highlight many condition flaws. Bright, shiny and stunning, with fantastic coloration. No chips, cracks, silver/gray utensil marks, or stains. All have some very light crazing that is free of stains. It is very light, and barely, if at all, perceptible to the naked eye. All have one or two tiny glaze pops on the edge of the rim, not noticeable when being used or displayed, but can be felt. All have a few scattered, completely colorless, light scratches to the glaze, the kind that are visible only when the piece is held up at just the right angle to a direct, bright source of light. We consider funky odors (cigarette smoke, mildew, etc) to be an important part of a condition report. Corndogcache is a 100% non-smoking environment, and we'll let you know if any of our vintage items smell like it (or anything else) from activities they may have been involved in before they came to us. The Fine Print:We expect payment within 1 day of purchase. If you're waiting for other auctions to end so that you can combine shipping, shoot us a message to let us know.If you're unable to pay within terms, please reach out with your Plan B. Things happen. Especially these days. So just shoot us a message. We don't accept buyer-remorse returns but we will grant you the use of our description and photos so that you can re-ebay the item yourself.Although we don't accept buyer-remorse returns, reach out if you're unhappy with your purchase!
