(1961, Housatonic RR Co., Canaan, CT (1986), and Shore Line East, CT (1990) a commuter rail line running from New Haven to Old Saybrook. Nostalgia galore for many people since the youngest is 1990, The Shore Line East along the Long Island Sound in CT. that is probably still operating in some form, to the 1961 Edaville Steam trains around the cranberry bogs south of Boston, where a chicken barbecue could be bought for online dining for $1.50 everyday from Memorial Day through Labor Day! Back in 1961, Edaville was a fun place with a toy train museum with 150 model trains dating back to 1850, Guns Display of the largest collection of Kentucky rifles on public display at the time, the largest museum of fire engines from the National Fire Museum, Inc. in New England, and a huge collection of automobiles dating back to 1909. Admission to all four sections was 35 c for adults 15 c for children. Like Steamtown USA., the Edaville attraction was owned and operated by railfan and licensed engineer Nelson Blount, who bought it in 1955 and made a huge number of improvements and additions to the equipment. But, the seafood magnate was killed in an airplane accident leaving no provisions for financing continuation of either.
