Description: ITHACA / SKB MODEL 300 / 900 Recoil Semi-Automatic 12ga Forend This forend will fit the 12 gauge 300 or 900 Ithaca / SKB Semi-Automatic shotguns imported by Ithaca. These recoil shotguns were imported by Ithaca Gun Company from 1968 to 1971. The distinctive feature of the Model 300 / 900 recoil semi-automatic shotgun is the presence of a large coil spring that surrounds the outside of the magazine tube. This spring is visible after you remove the forend from the shotgun. The forend is a stained walnut with a high gloss finish and has a hand cut checkering pattern. This forend includes the magazine cap bearing pin. The wood may have some minor scratches or other small indentations from storage or shipping. This is a factory forend that has been mounted to a shotgun and may require a gunsmith to perform some minor fitting to the forend, to ensure that the recoil spring has clearance and the plastic end cap is seated against the receiver.
