Description: Rare early Noritake, as indicated by the green “M” Backstamp (for Morimura brothers) which predates the Noritake brand and stamp. The pattern is a bit of a mystery; it’s possible that it’s the pattern Claremont, or, equally possible, its simply a pattern that went unnamed, as many of Noritake’s early patterns were. The image itself features a lovely green inflected floral scene with scrolls, which creates a stately, almost Romanesque look. A beautiful piece on its own, the legacy and history in this century old piece make it all the more interesting at the table or on a collector’s shelf. To that end, the creamer is in excellent condition with remarkably little sign of use or wear; just some slight fading along the gold rim. There are no chips, cracks, or scratches. $25 or best offer; I’m always game to negotiate so please don’t hesitate to send over an offer!
