Description: Majel Barrett "Number One" Starfleet Tunic from the Pilot Episode: "The Cage" of Star Trek: The Original Series (Paramount TV, 1966-1969). Vintage original golden honey-colored velour female uniform tunic with long sleeves and black standing v-neck (collar modified for subsequent use in the regular series). Velcro top to bottom back closure opens completely as modified for subsequent use in the regular series. Clear indentations on the sleeves where gold rank braid was once mounted (currently not present) indicate its use by Majel Barrett as "Number One". Her character was the only female crew member to wear rank braid in the episode! Exhibiting age, production wear. In vintage Fine condition. Provenance: Christie's 40 Years of Star Trek The Collection Auction. October 5-7, 2006. Lot #956 and Profiles in History Auction 83, 2016. Lot #1499. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.Also used in Star Trek the Original Series, one of the earliest pieces from the franchise! We preferred Majel as a brunette :)
