Gray cloth covered boards with blue stamped lettering on front panel. Boards are sunned around edges and spine. External page edges and internal text margins are age-toned. Inside gutters are starting. Dust jacket is soiled overall. Losses along upper edges and fore-edge corners, and with several closed tears: 3 1/2" from the upper right fore-edge corner of front panel; 1/2" from the upper left corner of front panel; 2 3/4" from the upper right corner of back panel, and with several adjacent creases.; 1" from the upper left corner of back panel, all with old tape reinforcements on reverse side. All inside flap corners have small uniform clips. No price is showing. (2) Picasso, Forty Years of His Art. Edited by Alfred H. Barr, Jr. and with two statements by the artist. Published by The Museum of Modern Art, New York, 1939. Very good first edition book in very good dust jacket. One colored frontispiece and 216 b&w plates. Orange-red cloth covered boards with yellow-stamped illustration on front panel and yellow-stamped lettering on spine. Board spine is lightly sunned. Previous owner's name/date and bookplate on FFEP. External pages and text margins are lightly age-toned. Text block is snug. Dust jacket is soiled overall. Loss along edges at head and tail of jacket spine, with adjacent closed tears and creases. All folds are creased and rubbed and with several small closed horizontal tears. Fore-edge corners are rubbed with minimal loss of up to 1/4". Several additional rubs, creases, and closed vertical tears along upper and lower edges of 3/8" or less. Not price clipped.(3) Matisse - Picasso. Two Great Masters of Contemporary Painting. Published by Braun & Cie, Paris. Not dated. Very good minus first edition book in very good dust jacket. With 48 full color plates and 22 drawings in monochrome. Tan cloth covered boards with brown lettering stamped on front panel and spine. Boards are somewhat soiled overall. Small amount of cloth bubbling on front panel. Edge at tail of board spine and adjacent lower edges are split and fraying. Lower fore-edge corners are rubbed through, upper corners are scuffed. Age-toning and some staining to external page edges. A number of small stains on front pastedown and end papers, does not appear to be foxing. Text block is shaken. Dust jacket is scuffed and soiled overall. Spine is sunned. Significant losses along upper edges of front and back panels and head of jacket spine. Several small closed tears and chips along lower edges of front and back panels. Folds are minimally rubbed. Inside flaps are not clipped No price is showing. (4) The sculptor's studio: etchings by Picasso. With an introduction by William S. Lieberman. Published by the Museum of Modern Art, New York, 1952.
