This watch had a retail price of about $2,500 by the time you paid some tax and then walked out of the high-end luxury timepiece retailer. Of course, they likely chatted you up with an espresso, gave you some generic information on the the history of the Maurice Lacroix brand, fed you with a couple pieces of Swiss chocolate and sent you on your way with a cute cardboard bag. I just save you a bunch of money and include a couple of awesome extra straps. The Masterpiece lines from the house of Maurice Lacroix are among the highest horology offerings from the company --- hence the designation "Masterpiece." This one, in an automatic mechanical movement, features an exhibition caseback so you can admire the craftsmanship of the movement. Of course as you wear this awesome timepiece to stylish restaurants or important business meetings your wrist movement is oscillating the rotor and activating the winding spring keeping this one humming along and providing nice timekeeping for you. I do feel compelled to point out that this particular reference is quite rare. I do not know how many were made but it is clearly a small number and as such has strong collectibility. Of course we are bringing the best value on the internet because we tirelessly source our inventory and inspect very closely upon receipt for quality and authenticity. The condition of this watch is as follows: Pre-owned in Excellent condition with the Maurice Lacroix boxing and extensive other collateral that you see in the photos. An excellent value and package and a strong "one watch" contender if you perpetually live a stylish and very elegant lifestyle. With that in mind, some additional considerations about this watch are… 1. This watch is wears true to form and is a classicly ever-so-slightly ovesized - not garish - 40mm. I can recommend this watch for somebody with a medium sized wrist. Most of the mass is vertical so the watch "fits" on even medium sized wrists. The brilliant milky dial is wonderfully subtle and complex. And that dial color is nicely matched with three wonderful strap options. It comes across as very luxurious, expensive in appearance and with a strong, elegant wrist presence. 2. This is a timepiece for a stylish person. Wonderful presence for the right man but can work as an oversized play for a stylish female as well. I view this is a discreet big city watch --- best worn anywear near people who understand fine horology, a "sharp" look is needed and a positive, positive image is desired. The details make the watch from the stunning dial, to the impressive case and lugs to the visual treat on the back of the watch. Take it to the best restaurant in your city or close that important business meeting in this one. 3. The build quality on this watch is extraordinary - particularly for the price. You get a Swiss movement from a recognized and well appreciated pedigree brand with a luxury history. Maurice Lacroix is interesting and times quirky in my view. They seem to have a particularly strong following among two distinct consumers: 1) True watch enthusiasts who can see and demand high value and 2) Germans. I am not sure why but in my experience German's love Maurice Lacroix. I think it is the often classical beauty of their mechanical timepieces. 4. The stainless case is very well made and to me is very cosmopolitan. Again, this is a strikingly beautiful watch with a city watch style of case for a discerning, successful person. 5. With the exhibition caseback you get a great look at the high-end, complex, automatic movement and the finishing qualities that make this a fine timepiece. 6. From a complication perspective, this one brings you the hours, minutes and seconds as well as the "ironically" placed date window. I don't know what else to call it --- maybe the only watch that I have come across that puts the date window at the 2 o'clock position. Cracks me up... very weird, funny even and very Maurice. I envision this one being worn by a successful working professional Monday-Thursday and then on a week-end evening when you hit up the new, in-demand restaurant with the celebrity chef of the moment. 7. The "ML" black strap is wonderful, high-quality but also quite worn. As such, I paired the timepiece with two 99%+ awesome straps --- one brown and one striated green. I think it looks much more interesting on these two additional straps. 8. The Maurice Lacroix box, paperwork and collateral as shown (see the "everything picture" --- usually my second picture) completes the listing. We do not offer a warranty but will work with you to make any post-purchase repairs via advice on where to go and what to do (with no profit for us but paid for by you). Everything we sell is working fine for all functions when it leaves our facility (or more specifically the safe deposit box where our watches reside). In some cases, we can go back to our source and get the watch repaired for free based on our relationship and reputation.
