Description: J & G Meakin Jacobean Tea Set With Cake Stand, made in England in the 1930s. Beautiful hand-painted summer/autumn floral patterns with scallop green rims. The set consists of 6 cups and saucers and a large 3-tiered cake stand made with a large dinner plate (25.5cm) at the bottom, medium dinner plate (22.5cm) in the middle and side plate (17.5cm) on the top. Total height of the cake stand is 37cm. All pieces are in good vintage condition. Colours are shiny and bright. No cracks or chips or crazing. Slight age-related crazing.
