The estate-fresh pieces we list are for you.Some run; some do not but none have been cleaned, oiled and calibrated, so whether it is running at the time of this writing or not, one must have the piece serviced before wearing it as an everyday driver.We’re pleased to offer this honest, rather uncommon gold-tone Benrus dress wristwatch in relatively good condition for a nearly 70 year old work of tactile art, featuring a beautifully '50s era case with fancy lugs, given by the 4th Army for completion/graduation of Food Service School – which has produced some of the finest chefs/cooks in this country. Measures approx. 38mm by 28mm – not counting (missing) crown, of course. Love the period numbers; love the stately, bygone aura of the piece. Needs crystal and crown, but will make someone a fine work of wrist art.We’re offering the piece for someone to restore if they wish or to use in the restoration of another work of wrist art. Also, the piece can be worn as a “prop” watch for your production, as many of our watches are.
