Painting is rendered on heavy art paper tipped to a gray/green paper backdrop and mounted in original matting. The gouache is dated '51 and initialed VCG by the artist Valda C. Greenhut. The painting measures 6 1/8 x 18 inches, with mat and backboard it measures 13 1/2 x 24 1/2 inches. The mat is dirty and scuffed and should be replaced, painting is in excellent condition, although it is has a fold down the center. The reverse bears the title "Bay Ridge, Brooklyn at Night, original price of $87.50, artist's full name, her Brooklyn address and phone number. Great old New York piece, would be stunning with a proper framing.
