Minitor V (5) PROGRAMMING cradle with USB interface

Description: Back in stock for a while. Wanted: broken or surplus Minitor V charging cradles. List them on ebay and I will buy them. NOTE: Windows 10/11 users ONLY- PLEASE read the entire listing before ordering. If you run Windows 10/11 you WILL need to download a USB driver file. Alternately, consider my Pocket Programmer. That programmer is Plug & Play on WIndows 10 and Windows 11, and also programmers Minitor III and IV in addidtion to Minitor V. I have a detailed guide for installing the Windows 8/10/11 driver. Contact me and I will send it to you ahead of time. You can install the driver before you purchase the programmer. If you are running Windows 8/10/11 and can't follow instructions, then please don't order and expect me to pay your return shipping. Consider, instead, my new pocket version. Same price, and easier to install on Windows 10/11. This is a Minitor V (i.e. 5) programmer intended to be used with Microsoft Windows PCs running XP through Windows 11. If you will be using this programmer with Windows 8-11 (as most customers now do) you will have to download the driver specified on the enclosed instruction sheet. If you aren't comfortable doing that, please don't order this programmer, and consider my Pocket programmer. Installation is simpler for the Pocket programmer. The USB interface cable on my version lets you avoid having to find a serial port on a PC, which is becoming rare on newer PCs. The programmer is powered by the USB interface, and the pager is powered by its own battery, so there is no need for a power transformer. I build these from charging cradles. Note that this is solely a pager programmer, used to set frequencies, tones, alerts, etc. It cannot be used to change the firmware in a pager. It also doesn't support the Engineer Mode special software used by shops to ahcnge the pager's frequency sub-band, channel capacity, etc. (I have since been told by a customer that you CAN use this programmer with the Motorola "Wngineer Mode" software, but I have never tested that and I dont' guarantee that capability.) The Minitor pagers are very sensitive receivers, and can be used for other purposes besides paging, assuming you can program it yourself and don't have to pay someone $15-$20 every time you want it re-programmed. This programming cradle works with the standard Motorola Minitor V programming PC software. I am NOT providing this software, but you can find it online. Note: the modified cradle is no longer a standard Motorola product. So, please don't go to Motorola with any problems, contact me instead. I have a 100% positive eBay feedback, and intend to keep it.
