Description: Here we have an incredibly rare and extremely well maintained Vintage 1997 Minnesota Golden Gophers Gemini Athletic “Hankinson Alternate” College Hockey Jersey. This jersey is in flawless, MINT condition with absolutely no rips, holes, tears, snagging, stains or markings. No flaws, damages, issues or signs of any wash, wear or use. No pilling, pulling, discolorations or other failures. Blank, it is very clean and ready to wear or display as is but remains ready for customization. Insane find, this design was done by former Gopher Hockey player Casey Hankinson. He was still with the team while working a summer job for Gemini Athletic before his senior season when he started to tinker with jersey design. The University allowed him to create this style and they actually wore it for 3 games in the 1997 season. It was the first time and I believe the only time, the University allowed a player to design the uniform. Awesome geometric pattern, the material has a dazzle or shimmer effect to it and is well weighted. Perfect for any real fan, collector or enthusiast, this piece will most definitely turn heads even when worn blank, but deserves to be customized by a professional.
