MIRIAM HASKEL 3-Strand Bib & Cluster/Dangle Earrings: Mottled Green Pâtés De Verre Art Glass Beads with Molded Gold Gilt Brass Calla Lily Accents For your consideration, a beautiful 2-piece suite consisting of a 3-strand/string bib necklace and a pair of cluster earrings with dangles designed for Miriam Haskell. This set is rare and exquisitely beautiful. The piece dates CIRCA 1940 - 50's. It is an opulent set and features various size mottled green Pâtés De Verre Art Glass beads, (5-20mm), tiny green seed beads, raw brass diamond cut spacer beads and textured and Molded gold Gilt brass calla lily shaped findings. The beads and brass molded findings in the necklace are constructed in strand/string style attached to filigree gilt brass connectors. Textured and molded gilt brass calla lily and leaf shape findings accentuate the beads to the front of the necklace. The necklace fastens with a decorated J hook to an extension chain link of brass wire and beads. The necklace can be worn as a bid or twisted and worn as a torsade. The earrings are designed with same theme as the necklace. They are duster dangles and fasten with paddle shaped clip backs. On the earrings, the calla Lilly findings form a cluster on the head of each earring and are handwired to a filigree gilt brass base. The leaf shaped finding is a bead cap on the large 20mm bead dangle. All pieces in this set are signed “MIRIAM HASKELL”. The beads and brass findings used in the construction of this set are of the best quality and were imported from Europe. The craftsmanship and care put into the making of this well made set contribute to its smooth finish, exquisite beauty and well preserved condition. The necklace and earrings are exquisitely beautiful, to see and more beautiful to wear as most of Haskell's pieces are. You will not be disappointed with this purchase. DIMENSIONS/WEIGHT: All measurements are approximateNecklace ~ Shortest strand including the extension chain and J hook ~ 17 ½”L ; with the longer rows measuring 19” and 20 ½”, so they hang approximately 1” below the first row unto the chest area: The necklace is heavy and weighs 86 gram.Earrings ~ 2”L x ⅝”W x ½” in thickness. Each earring weighs13 grams. CONDITION: Please note this is pre-owned vintage jewelry which have been gently worn. The set has purchased at an estate sale from the original owner. The beads and brass findings are all intact, with no noticeable damage to any piece, however this is vintage so, the beads may have some slight surface wear, but I have not noticed anything worth mentioning. The gold gilt brass of the necklace is fairly clean with minor tarnish, but no of patina. The tarnished brass has a Russian gold hue which adds to the vintage charm of the set. The earring backs fit snug. There is no stretching or fraying of the treading in the necklace. The earrings have no lose wires or missing beads. Structurally, the necklace and earrings are well preserved and in EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION. NOTE: This set has not been cleaned, but if done professionally, will clean up nicely.
