Description: Moman Pruiett. Criminal Lawyer. Blue cloth hardcover, not issued with dj, pub. 1944, 588, pages. Moman Pruiett was an Oklahoma legend in the legal field, convicted himself of felony before admittance to the bar. Of 343 cases he obtained 303 acquittals with only one receiving the death penalty (ultimately pardoned). He achieved most of the acquittals through bribery, perjury, and other illegal means. The book was written by Howard K. Berry but basically published under Pruiett's name in 1944. Much of the original material excised by Pruiett. A must for any Oklahoma legal history collection. Good condition, binding tight, former owners name on front endpapers, wear at corners. This is the ORIGINAL, not the later reprint by Berry (which by the way, is available on my listings). Get both and I will combine shipping. Shipping weight over 2 pounds.
