The box has been opened and the pen has been lightly handled, but it was not used for writing. Unfortunately over time the black leather pen box has started to shed its coating. The last pic shows one side where a strip came off. And the pulltab to open it has shedded all of its leather coating. And the top of the box has a scratch. Its fine for use, just isnt perfect. Everything but this box is like new. And its still in better shape than the other ones listed which all seem to be decaying.
