Description: . Offered is this Mopar 8 3/4” housing correct for 1970 – 1974 Plymouth Barracuda and 'cuda, and Dodge Challenger. This particular one came from a 1970 340 'cuda. This is just the bare housing. Overall, this is nice. It is not bent, never been in an accident, no repairs. It will need a real good cleaning, especially the inside of the axle tubes and the axle ends. Some of the carrier and/or axle studs may need to be replaced. This is clean and not rotted, but the casting is 'average' as housings go, so not one that could easily be smoothed and gloss-painted, if that is your goal. As a nice housing for a nice car, this may be fine. If the rear axle housing of your ride or project is damaged, incorrect, or missing, this may be worthy of your consideration. PLEASE NOTE that if you pick this up in person, you can pick through the axle and backing plate piles and pick out whatever you might like and take them with you.
