Mujiuchen Guzheng is made in Yangzhou with Japanese carving techniques and Yangzhou craftsmanship. The body board, made from a paulownia (pao-tong) tree that naturally grows in Henan Province, is artificially hollowed out in the middle, greatly improving the instrument's sound quality. In other words, it takes almost the whole tree to make a single guzheng. This model is custom-made for Sound of China.
