This 6 volt rechargeable bicycle battery pack has a "built-in" battery charger that charges the batteries as you ride with your bottle or hub dynamo (NOT INCLUDED) engaged. The batteries are 5 x AA rechargeable NiMH and they make up a 6 volt system. Your bicycle dynamo (generator) produces electricity which will be used for Battery charging in addition to running the lights. This battery pack makes it possible for your 6 volt lights to operate at all times so you can safely navagate at nights. It's convenient because you won't have to always remove batteries for charging, it's economical becauese you don't have to replace batteries each time they're depleted, and it's safer than lights that only work when you start moving. - Easy installation and easy to follow instructions included. - The red wire connects to your bicycle dynamo, black wire to bike frame & green wire for power output to light switch. - Overcharge and overload protection. - NOTE: Some items might be of different color or design, but will always be of same quality or better. IIIIIIIbicyclelightsIIIIIII : Just install the battery pack onto your bike's seat tube as seen in photo. You can install this in any position you wish. Make sure the ground (black) wire from battery pack is grounded onto bike frame (as seen in photo) and secure wires neatly. Your wires will look a lot better than this one! The built-in charger in this battery pack will keep the NiMH rechargeable batteries charged up while you ride and won't overcharge them.They will come to a safe trickle once fully charged. Follow the wiring instructions for your dynamo and connect output wire to battery pack red wire and the other hub dynamo wire to ground if necessary. Your bottle dynamo will get it's ground connection through the bike's frame after you tighten it securely. Detailed instructions are included.
