Description: PLEASE NOTE: The photos in this listing show both plates and mugs. Only the plates are being offered for sale in this listing. These four breakfast plates are in excellent condition (see photos). There are no chips, cracks, scratches, stains, or utensil marks. They are in their original box and packaging and have never been used (see photos). This set of plates was manufactured in China as part of the Frank Lloyd Wright Collection and authorized by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation (see photos of informational leaflet accompanying this set). I do not know the name of the manufacturer, but the backstamp and packaging indicate that these pieces are porcelain and that they are dishwasher safe and microwave safe. The design on these pieces is a reproduction of the design Frank Lloyd Wright created for dinnerware used in the "Cabaret" dining room of the Imperial Hotel in Japan. (The hotel was demolished in 1968.) These plates are eight inches in diameter and would work well as dessert plates or salad plates. (They are identified on the packaging as being "breakfast plates" and stated to be eight inches in diameter, but I measured them to be 7 7/8 inches in diameter.) The total weight of these four plates in their original box and packaging is four pounds, and the shipping weight will be five pounds.
