Author George Povall compiled color photographs from resident and railroad employee Bob McCulloch to illustrate this book on the railroads that served Chatham, NY and its environs. Located on the Boston & Albany mainline, it was served by the NYC’s Harlem Division and the Rutland’s Bennington-to-Chatham line. The Central had a modest yard there with a turntable, engine house and servicing facilities. The Rutland’s small yard was north of town. Chapters cover the NYC, Rutland, Penn Central, Conrail, and CSX. This is an 80-page softcover printed on gloss paper. New shrinkwrapped copy. Retail is $50.
