Description: Rosewood Plow Plane "A. Jones And Co." or Ohio Tool Co No 104. This is a rosewood plow plane. The maker stamp is "A.Jones and Co" - which I can't find anything about. But it's also marked 104, and looks exactly like an Ohio Tool Co 104 rosewood plow plane. It has an Ohio Tool Co cutter. So either it's a planemaker I can't find, or it's an Ohio, and the A Jones and Co was a later stamp. There was a Solomon A Jones maker listed in Brack's "Classic Period of American Toolmaking", but I think they made rulers and marking gauges. Cosmetically, it's got a few issues, which I've tried to document in the pictures: top horn of the tote is broken, the rear washer is missing, and some of the threads are a bit chewed. But it works adequately, the tote chip doesn't affect the grip, and the nuts can still be tightened cleanly - although it would be good to find a replacement rear washer. All the brass hardware tightens smoothly. I'm marking down accordingly. Please feel free to ask for more pictures or details.
