Its range of telephoto focal-lengths provides the ability to shoot both portraiture, & distant subjects, providing a versatile shooting range. The lens also features Vibration Reduction image stabilization, for sharper handheld shooting, which minimizes the appearance of camera shake by up to five stops. Its featured stepping motor provides a fast, quiet, and smooth autofocus performance, which is applied to both stills and video applications. Full-time manual focus override is supported with an internal focusing design that allows the lens to maintain its overall length while in use, boosting its focusing speeds. A specialized, electromagnetic aperture mechanism is featured, to provide stable control over exposure, when working with faster continuous shooting rates.
