Description: Nippon Hand Painted Dark Pink Roses Blue & Gold Beaded Creamer & Sugar Circa 1891-1921 Very beautiful porcelain creamer and sugar with large hand painted dark pink roses. With pale blue bands along the lip and the edge of the sugar lid with gold gilt net overlay, and gold beading above and below the blue bands. Also has raised gold gilt leaf and scrollwork designs. Marked on the bottom Hand Painted T Nippon in green. An almost identical mark is shown in the Collector's Encyclopedia of Nippon Porcelain, but no dates are given. The Nippon porcelain era was between 1891 and 1921. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. The creamer measures approximately 5 1/4 inches wide by 2 5/8 inches tall The sugar bowl measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide by 3 3/4 inches tall These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the pieces.
