ISSUED ONLY TO CREW / STAFF / PROMOTER GUESTS FOR THE CONCERT IN CHICAGO AT THE ICONIC METRO LOCATED STEPS FROM WRIGLEY FIELD IN THE 'LAKEVIEW' / 'BOYSTOWN' NEIGHBORHOOD. OCTOBER 12, 1991 - 10-12-1991 - METRO CHICAGO I ATTENDED THIS SHOW WITH A DEAR FRIEND AND THE PASSES WERE PROVIDED FOR US THROUGH THE PROMOTER. IT WAS PUT IN A PROTECTIVE PASS SLEEVE AND LABELED AND STORED THE FOLLOWING DAY. IT HAS ONLY BEEN REMOVED FOR THE PICTURES I JUST TOOK AND PLACED BACK IN THERE IMMEDIATLY. THERE ARE A COUPLE VERY MINOR CREASES BUT OTHER THAN THAT IT IS IN IMMACULATE CONDITION. Finding authentic backstage passes / laminates or any credentials for that matter from the 1991 Nirvana shows are very difficult to find... this is one of the 'grails' if you will. This is indeed one of the rarest Nirvana pass you can own. There were only a handful issued... LITERALLY - I wonder how many were saved and actually survived the test of time. I went with one guest and we sat with two other people as guests of the local promoter. That was it. There were a few crew members with laminates but I saw no other passes other than the pass the photographer had. He later came up to where we were and we moved for him to take a couple photos. I was a nerd about saving my passes and this is the finest pass you will ever come across if you ever do actually come across another from this show. I have hesitated to sell some of my credentials however it's time some of these tour backstage passes / laminates go to a proper home in hopes they are displayed with photos from the shows and properly framed as I had always intended. I have worked in the live / touring music business since 1986... over 36 years now. In that time I have amassed a collection of items like none other and am now offering a small portion of my items to the public.
