NOS 1970s Ford litter trash waste bag Horrobin Foothill Ford Bellevue Washington

Description: NOS trash/waste bag/litter bags for the interior of your Ford automobile (Bronco, Capri, Fairlane, Falcon, Galaxie, Granada, LTD, Maverick, Mustang, Pinto, Ranchero, Thunderbird, Torino, etc.). Exceptionally clean with no weird plastic odor or mustiness. The vinyl on all three of them is still flexible with no tears, wrinkles or scratches. The bags are stamped with the name of the dealership: Jerry Horrobin's Foothill Ford with the phone number of SH7-3100. The printing on the green and beige bags is clear with no fading or scuffing on the letters. The blue bag has a little bit of scuffing on the letters; the stamping on the green and beige bags is very clear with no scuffs. All three bags lie smoothly and the hole to hang them by has never been punched out. The beige one has two small folds at the top (see detail photo). Gerald Horrobin bought Foothills Ford in Bellevue, Washington in 1973 and sold it in 1985. However, Seattle/Bellevue stopped using the two letter number phone prefix in the mid-70s, so these bags are likely of the vintage 1973-1979. The green one may be even earlier as it doesn't have the Horrobin name on it. And for those of you who are editors, yes, Foothills Ford should have been spelled with an S on the end rather than Foothill Ford. The Cascade mountains have many foothills :) A random bit of history...in 1971, Washington State passed the Model Litter Control Act, which required that every vehicle have a litter bag.
